Harmonies reference sheet
Overview
- Build Landscapes by placing colored tokens on your Personal board [p.2 — Introduction]
- Create Habitats matching Animal card patterns to place Animal cubes [p.3 — Take 1 Animal Card]
- 2–4 players (solo variant available); goal is most victory points [p.2 — Introduction]
- Game ends when the Pouch is empty OR a player has ≤2 empty spaces on their board [p.4 — End of Game]
- Tiebreaker: most Animal cubes placed; if still tied, share victory [p.4 — End of Game]
Setup
- Place Central board 2–4 Players side faceup [p.2 — Setup]
- Put all tokens in the Pouch; place Pouch beside the board [p.2 — Setup]
- Draw 3 tokens randomly from the Pouch and fill each of the 5 Central board spaces [p.2 — Setup]
- Shuffle Animal cards; place 5 faceup; rest form draw pile [p.2 — Setup]
- Place Animal cubes within reach of all players [p.2 — Setup]
Solo: Use Solo side of Central board (3 spaces only); place only 3 Animal cards faceup [p.6 — Solo Setup]
Turn structure
Actions may be performed in any order; optional actions allowed between token placements [p.7 — Player Aid]
Mandatory
- Take and place 3 tokens from one Central board space onto your Personal board
Optional (any order, any time during turn)
- Take 1 Animal card (once per turn max)
- Place 1 Animal cube (unlimited times)
End of turn
- Refill Central board spaces to 3 tokens each [p.7 — End of Game Turn]
- Refill Animal cards to 5 faceup [p.7 — End of Game Turn]

Token placement rules [p.3 — How to Place a Token]
- Allowed: empty space, or on top of 1–2 tokens (Trees, Buildings, Mountains only)
- Not allowed: under existing tokens; on or under an Animal cube
Scoring
Points are tallied at game end from Landscapes and Animal cards [p.4 — Tallying Points]
- Animal cards: each completed card earns points shown on the card [p.4]
- Incomplete Animal cards: no penalty — simply score 0 for that card [p.4]
- Landscapes: scored based on token colors/patterns on your Personal board [p.4]
- Nature's Spirit cards (optional variant): scored at end of game per card's rule, in addition to all other points [p.6 — Nature's Spirit]
End of game
Game ends immediately when either condition is met [p.4 — End of Game]
- Pouch is empty when the Central board needs refilling, OR
- Any player has ≤2 unoccupied spaces on their Personal board at end of their turn
Finish the current round so all players have equal turns, then tally points [p.4]
- Most points wins
- Tiebreaker: most Animal cubes placed
- Second tiebreaker: share victory [p.4]
Glossary
- Landscape: a group of colored tokens on your Personal board forming terrain features [p.2 — Introduction]
- Habitat: the specific token pattern required by an Animal card to place an Animal cube [p.3 — Animal Card Description]
- Tree: a stack of tokens following the stacking rules; height must match the Animal card exactly [p.4 — Placement Requirements]
- Mountain: a stack of tokens; height must match the Animal card exactly [p.4 — Placement Requirements]
- Building: a stack with a red, brown, or gray bottom token; any type counts for Habitat matching [p.4 — Placement Requirements]
- Pouch: bag holding all tokens; source for refilling the Central board [p.2 — Setup]
- Central board: shared board with 5 spaces (3 in solo), each holding 3 tokens for players to take [p.2 — Setup]
- Nature's Spirit: optional variant card scored at game end based on your Landscape composition [p.6 — Nature's Spirit]
FAQ
- Q: Can a token be part of multiple Habitats? — A: Yes, a token may be part of several identical or different Habitats [p.7 — Place 1 Animal Cube]
- Q: Is a cube placement permanent even if the Habitat changes? — A: Yes, each cube placement is final even if the Habitat is no longer present [p.7 — Place 1 Animal Cube]
- Q: What happens to completed Animal cards? — A: Place them beside your Personal board; they no longer count against your 4-card limit [p.4 — Place 1 Animal Cube]
- Q: In solo, what happens to unchosen tokens? — A: Return the remaining 6 tokens to the box (discarded, not returned to Pouch), then refill [p.6 — Solo Game Turn]
