Whenever any Character is in the same Location as Claudyne the Unknighted at any moment of the game, the Encounter starts immediately before resolving Instant (⚡) effects. [p.39 — Movement] This means the Encounter begins as soon as you arrive at his Location through Travel or any other movement, taking priority over the normal sequence of events.
The Encounter follows standard Combat or Diplomacy rules depending on the type of challenge Claudyne presents. [p.39 — Claudyne Encounter Rules] After the Encounter concludes, you may continue with other actions or effects as normal.
