Do I have to place a noice token in a room ?

Quick answer

No, you place Noise markers in Corridors connected to the Room, not in the Room itself.

Details

When a player enters an empty Room and resolves a Noise roll, they place a Noise marker in a Corridor connected to that Room, based on the roll result (e.g., a roll of "2" places the marker in Corridor 2). This is detailed in the Noise roll section [p.15 — Noise roll].

If the Exploration token for the Room has a "Danger" effect and no eligible Intruders are moved, Noise markers are placed in all connected Corridors without existing markers [p.15 — Danger].

Noise markers are never placed inside Rooms themselves. They only occupy Corridors (including the Technical Corridors space) to track potential Encounter triggers.

Watch out: If a Corridor already has a Noise marker and another is instructed to be placed there, an Encounter is resolved instead of adding a second marker [p.15 — Noise roll].
