How do revealed and hidden tiles interact on the board?
Quick answer
Revealed tiles are faceup and removed from hands; hidden tiles remain facedown in stands until actions or failures expose them.
Details
Revealed wires are placed faceup in front of a player’s tile stand after a successful cut action (Dual or Solo) and are out of play [p.5 — Dual Cut Action]. Hidden wires stay facedown in players’ hands (tile stands) until:
- Dual Cut failure: The targeted hidden wire’s value is revealed via an Info token placed in front of it [p.5 — Dual Cut Action].
- Solo Cut: A player reveals their own hidden wires when cutting pairs/fours of identical values [p.6 — Solo Cut Action].
- Reveal Your Red Wires: If all a player’s hidden wires are red, they reveal them faceup [p.6 — Reveal Your Red Wires Action].
Validation tokens on the board track fully cut wire values (all four copies), serving as public knowledge but not directly revealing hidden tiles [p.6 — Validation Tokens].
Watch out: Players cannot discuss hidden tile values or positions due to strict communication rules. Only actions, equipment, or failed guesses reveal information [p.7 — Clarifications].
