How does replenish interact with break?
Quick answer
During a break, the display is replenished by discarding the two bottom cards (folders 1 and 2) and refilling from the deck.
Details
The replenishment of the display occurs as part of the Break phase, specifically in step 4: Replenish display. Here’s the procedure:
- Discard the two cards in the lowest folders (folders 1 and 2) of the display into the discard pile.
- Move the remaining cards in the display down to fill the empty folders (e.g., folder 3 moves to folder 2, folder 4 to folder 3, etc.).
- Fill any remaining empty folders in the display with new cards drawn from the deck.
This ensures the display remains stocked for subsequent turns. The replenishment is mandatory during every break and is unrelated to any card draws or snaps that occurred during players’ turns.
Watch out: If a player takes cards from the display during their turn (e.g., via Snapping or upgraded actions), the display is not replenished until the end of their turn. However, this does not affect the break’s replenishment step, which always discards folders 1 and 2 and refills from the deck.
