To build your hero deck in Marvel Champions: The Card Game, follow these rules:

  1. Choose an Identity Card: Select exactly one hero/alter-ego identity card. This card represents the character you will play as.

  2. Deck Size: Your deck must consist of a minimum of 40 cards and a maximum of 50 cards. The identity card is not counted as part of the deck.

  3. Include Hero-Specific Cards: Your deck must include each of the hero cards associated with your chosen identity card. The exact quantity of each card included in that hero set must be included in the deck.

  4. Choose an Aspect: Select exactly one aspect (Justice, Aggression, Protection, or Leadership) to use for customization. The remainder of your deck is then customized with cards that belong to that aspect and/or basic cards.

  5. Card Limits: No more than three copies (by title) of each non-unique card may be included in the deck. No more than one copy (by title) of each unique card may be included in the deck.

  6. Follow Deckbuilding Requirements: Any "deckbuilding requirements" on the player's identity card must be followed.

These rules ensure that your deck is balanced and adheres to the game's guidelines. (Page 22)
