Slay the Spire: The Board Game · Board game rules
In multiplayer, are Elite rewards shared?
Quick answer
Yes — in Elite fights, all players gain the rewards, unlike regular encounters where only the player in that row gets the enemy's reward.
Details
At the end of combat, rewards are gained "on the upper left of the enemy's card." For regular encounters, players only "gain rewards from the enemy in the row you ended combat in," but "In Boss and Elite fights, all players gain the rewards" [p.13 — End of Combat].
For relic rewards specifically (which Elites and Treasure rooms grant), the base rule has each player draw from the relic deck and gain or skip it individually [p.8 — Rewards]. However, there's an optional rule, Choose Your Relic, for multiplayer games: when the party gains a relic from an Elite or Treasure room, you instead reveal relics equal to the number of players, and each player picks one of the revealed relics [p.23 — Optional Rules].
Watch out: By default (without the optional rule), each player still draws and resolves their own relic pull individually even though "all players gain the rewards" — it's not a single shared pool unless you're using the Choose Your Relic variant.
