What does it mean to control a type of building in Bunny Kingdom Town?
Quick answer
Controlling a building type means having at least one Building of that type in your Neighborhood (orthogonally adjacent Buildings under your control, connected by Bridges if needed) with your Bunny token on it.
Details
To "control a type of building" means you have at least one Building of that specific type (Leisure, Work, Civic, Residential, or Knowledge) within one of your Neighborhoods. A Neighborhood consists of orthogonally adjacent Buildings you own (marked by your Bunny token), and Buildings on opposite riverbanks are only connected if linked by a Bridge token [p.8 — Activating a Neighborhood].
For example, if you have a Sawmill (Work type) in your Neighborhood with your Bunny token, you control the Work type. This matters for effects like the Park’s ability to mimic any type [p.10 — The Park] or Request cards requiring specific types.
Watch out: If a Building is stolen (via certain effects) or moved, control transfers to the new owner. Ensure your Bunny token remains on the Building to maintain control over its type.
