What do the numbers under the Generator Track signify in Entropy?

Your Generator marker's position on the track determines both the size of the Entropy discount and the number of Stars that can receive that discount when you resolve the Activate Stars action from the Action space itself — the discount does not apply if you activate a Star through other means, such as retrieving a Creation token during movement [p.9 — ACTIVATE STARS], [p.11 — PRIMORDIAL SOUP].
The final three spaces on the track are special: reaching any of them grants an immediate VP bonus. If your marker is already on the very last space and you would advance further, you instead simply gain 3 VP [p.11 — PRIMORDIAL SOUP].
