Where should I place noise token ,
Quick answer
Place a Noise marker in the Corridor connected to the Room you just entered that matches the number rolled on the Noise die (or the chosen Corridor for Careful Movement/Danger effects).
Details
When a Character moves into an empty Room (no other Character or Intruder present), they must perform a Noise roll. Depending on the result (1-4), a Noise marker is placed in the Corridor connected to that Room bearing the matching number, counting Technical Corridor Entrances if the Room has one [p.15 — Noise Roll]. Any given Corridor may only ever hold 1 Noise marker — if you're told to place one where one already exists, an Encounter is triggered instead [p.15 — Noise Roll].
If the Noise roll result is Danger, instead of placing a single marker you first check for an Intruder in a neighboring Room (not in Combat) and move it into your Room; only if no Intruder is eligible do you place a Noise marker in every connected Corridor that doesn't already have one [p.15 — Noise Roll]. A Silence result means no marker is placed at all, unless your Character has a Slime marker, in which case Silence is treated as Danger instead [p.15 — Noise Roll / p.17 — Slime Marker].
For the Careful Movement Basic Action, you skip the die roll entirely — you simply choose and place the Noise marker yourself in any Corridor connected to the Room you're entering that doesn't already have one [p.13 — Basic Actions].
If the Corridor indicated leads to a Technical Corridors Entrance, place the Noise marker on the special Technical Corridors space instead — this is treated as being present at every Technical Corridor Entrance on the board [p.15 — Noise Clarifications, p.16 — Technical Corridors].
Watch out: Noise markers affect the entire Corridor even if there's a Closed Door in it — they are never considered to be "on one side" of the Door [p.15 — Noise Clarifications].
