Frodo makes the final search roll at Mount Doom after spending 5 Resistance symbols to attempt destroying the One Ring, only after all other objectives are completed. Frodo can only attempt this action at Mount Doom, and only after every other objective card has been completed. [p.12 — Destroying the One Ring] When Frodo attempts to destroy the Ring, he first spends 5 Resistance symbols. Then he must make a final search roll. Roll 1 die for each Nazgûl and shadow troop present (as you normally would for a search), but also add 1 die for each hope missing from the hope track. For example, if only 3 hope remains on the track, you add 5 additional dice. The maximum roll is 7 dice.
