Do Kingdom cards apply Commands to all cards of a given Architype?

Quick answer

No. Kingdom Cards provide abilities to the player who controls them, not automatic effects that apply to all cards of a specific Archetype.

Details

Kingdom Cards are neutral cards that grant unique abilities and benefits to whoever acquires them. [p.14 — Kingdom Cards] When you control a Kingdom Card, you may activate its printed Actions or abilities during the appropriate Steps. [p.14 — Rules Text]

However, Kingdom Cards themselves do not have Commands printed on them. Commands are found on Faction Cards. [p.37 — Commands] If a Kingdom Card's ability references a specific Archetype, that ability functions as written on that particular card—it applies only through the card's own rules text, not as a blanket effect on all cards of that type.

Watch out: Some Kingdom Cards may have abilities that target or affect cards with specific Archetypes, but these are card-specific effects, not automatic global rules. Always read the individual Kingdom Card's text to see exactly what it does.
