If a deadly 5 card, a follower, and an 8 are played, does the follower win?

Yes, the player with the Deadly card and Supporter would win the Clash if the opponent's 8 Strength card is eliminated and they have no other Active cards or Supporters.

When resolving a Clash, the following steps occur:
- Day Action Step: Players activate optional Actions and Commands in turn order.
- Night Effects Step: Mandatory Effects, including Deadly, trigger simultaneously.
If a player plays a Deadly card (e.g., Strength 5), it will Eliminate all opponents’ Active cards in the Clash. The opponent’s Strength 8 card (assuming it’s Active) is removed to the Lost Pile. The Deadly card itself remains Active unless another Deadly effect targets it.
Supporters contribute +1 Strength per Supporter in the Region but are not Active cards and cannot be Eliminated by Deadly. If the player with the Deadly card also has a Supporter in the Region, their total Strength is calculated as:
- Strength from Active cards (e.g., 5 from the Deadly card)
- +1 for each Supporter in the Region (e.g., +1)
Total = 5 + 1 = 6.
If the opponent has no remaining Active cards (due to Elimination) and no Supporters in the Region, their total Strength is 0. The player with the Deadly card and Supporter wins the Clash.
Watch out:
If the opponent’s Strength 8 card also has the Invulnerable Trait, it would not be Eliminated by Deadly, and the opponent’s total Strength would be 8 (plus any Supporters). In this case, the opponent would win unless the first player has additional Strength sources.
