How do I resolve a bot action turn in solo mode?
Quick answer
Flip the bot's top card, find the row matching its fuel cost and leftmost empty mineral slot column on the action board, then resolve the action's icons left to right: use all drills by priority, collect the most valuable mineral, and move if indicated. [p.14-16 — ACTION TURN]
Details
When the bot starts their turn on the surface, flip the top card from their deck and ignore everything except the fuel cost of that card's main effect. [p.14 — ACTION TURN] On the bot's action board, locate the row matching that fuel cost and the leftmost column that still has empty mineral slots (or the rightmost column if the mineral track is full). The intersection tells you how many drills the bot uses and whether they move. [p.15 — HOW TO READ THE BOT'S ACTION BOARD]
Next, resolve each icon in the action from left to right. First, the bot uses every drill they have available by working down a priority list: remove the next barrier tile (if affordable), excavate a matching corridor, or collect a matching mineral—whichever is the first available action they can afford. They repeat until all drills are spent. [p.15 — 1. THE BOT USES EVERY DRILL THEY HAVE AVAILABLE] Then, the bot collects the most valuable mineral available from any open floor using the same priority system. [p.16 — 2. THE BOT COLLECTS THE MOST VALUABLE AVAILABLE MINERAL] Finally, if the action includes a movement icon, move the bot to the open floor with the most of the highest-value minerals, breaking ties by checking lower-value minerals until one floor wins. [p.16 — 3. FINALLY, IF THE BOT'S ACTION HAS A MOVEMENT ICON, THE BOT MOVES]
Watch out: The bot's priority list ignores their mech's current position—they take the highest-priority action available on any open floor, not just their current one.
