What happens when two players tie for the most Coins in a clash?

Quick answer

Tied players may start a new Clash by playing face-down cards or passing. If all pass, no rewards are claimed.

Details

When two or more players tie for the highest Strength (not "Coins") in a Clash, the tied players enter a resolution process:

  1. In turn order, each tied player chooses to either:
    • Play a face-down Faction Card from their Hand into the Region, or
    • Pass.
  2. If any player plays a card, a new Clash begins among the tied players. This new Clash follows the same steps (Reveal Cards → Day Action Step → Night Effects Step → Tally Strength) as the original.
  3. If all tied players pass (or cannot play a card), the Region is resolved as a tie. No rewards (Herald or Location) are claimed by any player for that Region.

Watch out: The new Clash is entirely separate from the original. Cards and effects from previous Clashes in that Region this Round do not carry over, and Supporters/Active cards used earlier do not contribute again [p.29 — Resolve Tied Clashes].

If the question intended "Influence (♦)" instead of "Coins," note that Influence is not directly tied to Clash outcomes—Strength (from cards and Supporters) determines Clash winners.
