How do you count birds in a flock?

Each bird card in a flock (including those tucked under a flocking bird) counts as one bird.
Details
When a bird with a flocking power (indicated by "THIS" in its description) is played, you may tuck other bird cards under it to form a flock. Each tucked bird card represents an additional bird in the flock [p.10 — BIRD POWERS].
For scoring purposes, all birds in a flock—both the base bird and any tucked birds—are counted individually. For example, a flock with one base bird and three tucked birds totals four birds. This applies to habitat-specific counts (e.g., forest, grassland) and nest-type goals, as tucked birds retain their original habitat and nest attributes [p.6 — OPTION 1. PLAY A BIRD FROM YOUR HAND].
Watch out: Tucked birds still occupy a slot in their habitat on your player mat. Ensure you do not exceed the 5-bird limit per habitat [p.6 — OPTION 1. PLAY A BIRD FROM YOUR HAND].
