Dragon Eclipse · Board game rules
How many player can play the game ?
Quick answer
Dragon Eclipse is designed for 1 or 2 players in the cooperative campaign mode, though PvP mode also supports 2 players in direct competition.
Details
The core campaign is described as "a cooperative scenario-based game for 1 or 2 players" [p.4 — INTRODUCTION]. There are also additional modes — Roguelite and PvP — described later in the rulebook, which are variations on player count within the same 1–2 player framework [p.4 — INTRODUCTION].
The Roguelite mode explicitly states it is "Available solo or with 2 players" [p.28 — Roguelite mode]. The PvP mode is built for exactly 2 players competing against each other rather than cooperating, using Quick battle or Challenge formats [p.27 — PvP mode].
Watch out: Rules marked with a special 2-player icon (🎵) only apply when playing with 2 players — if playing solo, these sections can be skipped entirely [p.4 — INTRODUCTION].
