What happens during the Camp phase?
Quick answer
During Camp, the Party rests fully, advances Characters, reequips items, upgrades their Camp, recruits Companions, and each Character resolves one Camp card Action [p.19 — Camp Sheet & Camp Phase].
Details
When a Camp Phase is triggered, place the Camp Sheet in an available Story Tracker slot and follow its printed procedure, which generally covers these steps: (1) Characters with Advancement tokens in their Pouch may spend them to gain new abilities from their Profession or Secondary Advancement Trees; (2) Rest — every Party Member heals all HP and refreshes all Action cards, ignoring costs and restrictions; (3) Reequip — Characters may exchange Items and Companions, then equip Items from their Pouches and change their Hotbar cards [p.19 — Camp Sheet & Camp Phase].
Steps 4 and 5 let the Party expand or upgrade their Camp using entries marked with the upgrade icon found in the Player's Handbook. Step 6 allows recruiting new Companions, and step 7 lets the Party replace Camp cards, moving unused ones into the Party's Inventory [p.19 — Camp Sheet & Camp Phase].
In steps 8 and 9, each Character may resolve one Action from any Camp card, placing their model on that card to show what they're doing; only Characters on the same Camp card may Support each other's Rolls during this step. Finally, step 10 is clean-up — discard the Camp Sheet along with all models and markers on it, then return to wherever the game sent you into the Camp Phase (an entry, card, or Sheet) [p.19 — Camp Sheet & Camp Phase].
Watch out: Support during Camp Actions only works between Characters who placed their models on the same Camp card — this differs from normal Exploration Support rules where any Party Member sharing a space can help [p.19 — Camp Sheet & Camp Phase].
