Can I build across the river in Bunny Kingdom Town?
Quick answer
Yes, you can build on the other side of the river if a Plot is available and you pay its cost. Bridges only connect Neighborhoods, not enable building access.
Details
To construct a Building across the river, follow these steps:
- Available Plot: Ensure the target space has an Architect token (indicating an available Plot) and is not blocked by the river itself. The river does not prevent building on a Plot unless the Building requires a waterfront (⇔ icon) and no such Plots are available [p.8 — Construct].
- Cost Payment: Pay the Plot’s cost (⚫) as shown on the board. This cost decreases as Plot cards slide along the track at the end of each turn [p.7 — Construct].
- Placement: Place your Building tile on the Plot and add a Bunny token to it. If the space has a ⚫ token, claim it [p.7 — Construct].
Watch out: Bridges (placed during setup or via Building effects) only connect adjacent spaces across the river for Neighborhood influence calculations. They do not affect your ability to build on a Plot. A Building on the other side of the river is still part of your town unless isolated by the river (no Bridge) [p.8 — Activating a Neighborhood].
If a Building requires a waterfront (⇔), you must place it on a Plot with that icon. If no such Plots exist or are too expensive, you cannot construct it [p.8 — Construct].
