when a card says -armor on it what exactly does that mean?

Details
When an effect allows an attacker to ignore armor, it temporarily reduces the target's armor value by the amount specified. This may reduce armor down to 0. [p.26 — Armor]
For example, if a card says "-2 Armor" and your opponent has 3 armor, that attack treats them as having only 1 armor instead. If the card says "-All Armor" or similar, the attack ignores all their armor entirely.
This is different from dealing damage that bypasses armor altogether (like "lose HP" effects, which ignore armor completely). [p.26 — Losing HP] The "-Armor" modifier still reduces armor—it just doesn't eliminate it entirely unless the modifier value is high enough.
